Almost Over!

Well, we are halfway done with this semester and I am more than relieved! I hope everyone had a fantastic spring break, and that none of you were sick like I was! I am ready for summer to be here so I can go back to my hometown and get ready to go to Sam in the fall. I am going to miss Student Ambassadors whenever I leave, but I know everyone is going on to bigger and brighter things!

Spring Break... its over :/

Spring Break is over BUT... we're back on campus and ready to start classes right?? Ok... some of you may not be ready for classes but the semester is almost over! How was every one's break? Anything exciting happen? I hope that you enjoyed it and were safe. I know that I am glad to be back and ready to finish off the semester strong and ace all these midterms and finals that are coming up in May. For those of you that aren't to familiar with the Ambassador program you should really take it upon yourself to get informed!!! It has helped me so much i don't know what i would do without having the opportunity to be part of this program. If you are interested in becoming a Ambassador for the upcoming Fall 2012 semester please contact Liz Sitta at 281-756-3552. You're truly missing out if you don't take the time out to learn a little about us! Keep your eyes and ears opened for the Ambassador Informational coming up in the next few months! Ambassador Infomation

Hey College Students!
          I'm a student ambassador here at the college and I highly recommended that you look into the program! I have been apart of the organization for almost two semesters and can easily tell you that it was the best decision I have ever made!

I'll be honest and tell you that I was a little skeptical knowing that I had to get forty hours of working ACC events, but Liz Sitta made it so easy for the ambassador to get their hours. Not to mention that we receive a $500 scholarship! The program allows you to mingle with students and faculty.
         In the program you are able to mingle with students from all around the campus that maybe you would have never come in contact with before. All of the ambassadors now are in different degree programs which makes it interesting to learn about other fields of study and maybe even degree switch to one that you would have never heard about. I have made many new friends in the program and are going to keep up with their personal life in the future. Being in the program has honestly taught me how to juggle my hours between school work, a job, and a personal life.

Welcome Back!

This week is the start of the Spring semester and the Student Ambassador Program is geared up to make sure it is a successful one. Training was held on January 13th to introduce and prepare for the upcoming semester.

There will be many events and places that you'll see the Ambassadors recruiting. Feel free to stop by their booth to chat, ask questions, or even take a picture with Blue, ACC's mascot.

This blog will follow the many adventures of the Ambassadors as they go through their semester in school, work, and recruiting. So sit back and enjoy the short reads.

The Student Ambassadors for Fall 2011 have successfully completed a great semester. Their last working event was at the ACC Annual Foundation Gala on Tuesday, December 6th.

How was your Halloween? I hope you guys got a bunch of goodies! Speaking of goodies we just had our Health Fair last week in the S-building. I have to say there was a lot of neat and free stuff including massages! That was my favorite part. Woo time has flown by so fast I can’t believe that this semester is almost over! When I was in high school I couldn’t wait for the year to be over but now that I’m in college I crave that extra time!
Well it’s about time to start preparing ourselves for the end of the semester start studying for your finals!! Take advantage of the Library and Learning lab it’s for us the STUDENTS!! We pay for it so why not use it? The tutoring is free and they actually help you. I have so many problems with math and they really try their hardest to help me understand. So take a trip when you have some time to check it out for studying. OH!! I almost forgot to mention the great study rooms in the library; I know them all too well! :)
On another note the Toys Thru Us is in full effect! Please look for the donation boxes around campus to give you a new unwrapped toy to those in need. Were all about the community so take this opportunity to help the families of Alvin out this Christmas Holiday!
