Fall: Cold or Bold?

Hey what’s going on? I can’t believe that the semester is already half way over! What’s even worse is that I have not yet gotten over the cold from last year! With a fall semester coming closer and closer to a close, guess what’s coming with it? You got it: another cold winter! Living in Texas all of my life, I have never adapted to the cold. But look at the bright side: with winter comes great camping weather, cheerful holidays, and one more semester completed. I have to admit, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Alvin Community College. Being a native Texan, like me, Alvin Community College rocks!

Are you having trouble with anything this semester? Would you like to receive assistance from another professor? The Learning Lab in the A Building of Alvin Community College is an excellent place to go if you do. It offers free tutoring and gives you a chance to have a better understanding with specific material that you may have trouble understanding from your own professor. Many times when I write an essay for a class, they will go over it with me and point out errors that I would’ve never thought to look. Most of my friends here at Alvin Community College seem to have several confusions when it comes to math. When I advised them to go to the Learning Lab, they were able to understand the material so much easier with a one-to-one connection with another professor than in the classroom with their professor.

This weekend I will be at the Don Jeter Academic Day Bazaar in Manvel with one of my fellow ambassador, Derrick. I wonder how this will turn out for the two of us. It will be another Saturday that I will not be sleeping in, but I’m quiet use to that now. Sleeping in is like a restriction to me now, but I enjoy the longer days! Wish us luck!

I will see you guys around!
