Fall Semester

Well we are well into the Fall semester, how is it going for all of you? I am in the Nursing Program and we are just starting our clinicals on this Thursday. I am excited and scared at the same time but can't wait for it to start! Finals will be here before we know it. It all seems to go by more quickly than it used to.

Can you believe that the holidays are coming so quickly? Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all one month after the other! Hobby Lobby already has their Christmas decorations out. It will be here before you know it. YIKES!!

ACC will be hosting a Fall Festival on October 29, 2011 in the courtyard. It will be lots of fun for kids and adults to dress up and play games and see Blue our mascot. Please tell everyone you know and bring your friends.

Well gotta go study! Happy Holidays! Stay Safe

CHRISTMAS AND FINALS?!

Hello Everyone, Well Christmas is JUST around the corner :)...unfortunately so are finals :9 NEXT WEEK ACTUALLY!!! and if any of you are like me then you haven't really begun studying yet lol. Today is Friday and my lack of studying is beginning to catch up SO i decided to give some GOOD study habits that IF you can follow you should be good to go. So here we go

1. Find a quiet spot where you will not be bothered. The ACC library is best for me, If i stay home I get distracted by the tv, computer, xbox...things like that.

2. Drink a cup of coffee or a coke or a monster SOMETHING that will keep you awake. IDK about you but as soon as I look at my books i get sleepy and want to take a nap lol.

3. Go to the bathroom, if you suddenly have to go right as you study you are gonna forget everything you just read or did.

4. Set a timed schedule, you need breaks from studying but not too many. a 5 min break every 15-30 mins should be alright.

5. SIT DOWN AND GET BUSY!!! Some classes will have tests over everything you have learned over the semester but you should probably focus the majority of your time on the last few chapters you just went over. That is where you teacher will get 60% if not more of your test questions.

6. Be like me and realize Christmas is awesome and that decorating and eating cookies be more fun that studying lol (Don't Do This)

Well that is a few tips, Hope they help, im gonna go make cookies now lol

(The Student Ambassadors is NO WAY support procrastination)

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

COUNTDOWN TO FINALS!

Is everyone ready for finals? I'm not but I am ready for it to be over and I can say YES, I passed!

This semester has gone by really fast for me and I am sure that it has gone by just as fast for you. For me I go to school full-time, work part-time with 2 wonderful ladies Cammy and Liz, I have a wonderful husband and 2 very active children that keep me going and also have clinicals on the weekend. This semester has flying by.

Don't forget Applications are online for the Ambassador Program, be sure to apply for the opportunity to get a $500 scholarship, mileage reimburesment, meet new people, recruit new students and help your community, all you have to do is donate 40 hours of your time within the semester you are applying. THAT'S IT! No fine print, no suprises! Only 40 hrs of donation to sign up for events around time or even on campus to get the word out about ACC and bring in students. Deadline for applications is November 23rd.

Who is ready for TURKEY?? Thanksgiving and Christmas have to be my favorite holidays because you get the Turkey and dressing twice within a month. Turkey and dressing and all of the delicious sides to go with it. Not to mention being surrounded by all of your loving family that you may not have seen in a while. I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it!

Well have a Great Thanksgiving! (16 days left, I'm counting!) and Good Luck on Finals!
